Warning about Suspicious E-mail and Phishing

Dear Value Customers,

Currently, on the Internet there are fake emails (Phishing/Spam email) of email “@bidc.com.kh” BIDC Bank in order to trick customers into logging in to steal registration information or providing personal information to make payment by e-banking services. For example, some Phishing emails such as:

- www.bidc.com.kh < info@bidc.com.kh >
- ceo@bidc.com.kh < ceo@bidc.com.kh >
- barristersmithchauesq@yahoo.com < barristersmithchauesq@yahoo.com >

“SUSPICIOUS EMAIL AND PHISHING”

What should I do if I receive a suspicious (Phishing) email that seems to be from BIDC Bank?

If someone contacts you by a fake emails similar email of BIDC Bank and asking for process any payment or log in your Bank ID and password on e-banking services. Please do following activities as:

  1. Do not open the attached file or click on the links on fake email.
  2. Do not process any payment as their mention.
  3. Forward any suspicious emails to BIDC Bank to be given our bank support.
  4. In case, you believe that you may be a victim of fraud, you have to change your password of e-banking services immediately. Then, you contact the BIDC Bank hotline at: 023 210 044 to be given our bank support (if any).

BIDC Bank will never send to Value custormers an email asking for process any payment or log in your Bank ID and password on e-banking services. These emails have come from fraudsters who are phishing for information and have sent messages to many random emails addresses – they have not gotten hold for your specific email.
